The Costume Is the Fete Dress of a Southern Bavarian Peasant and was Purchased In Munich. Thursday a beautifully appointed luncheon was given in honor of the bride-to-be by Mrs Horace Whitney. Miss Lewis entertained a number of her friends on Friday at a trousseau tea; on Friday Fri-day evening Mr. and Mrs. Morton R. Cheesman gave an Informaldance for Miss Lewis and Mr. Tuttle at their homo In Cottonwood and this afternoon, after-noon, Miss Luclle Clark will be tho hostess at a matinee party following which tho guests will attend the the dansant at the Utah. Mrs. Clem Schramm had as her guest during ,y the week, Mrs. Guy L. Wallace of Portland, a " most charming woman, who will visit here often in the future. SImpkIn performed the ceremony. Miss Myrtle Jack was the honored guest at an informal tea given by Mrs. Don E. Ray on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Gillett have as their guest, Mr. Gillett's mother who has recently arrived from Seattle. Mrs. W. I. Snyder entertainea the members of the Crystal bridge club at her home on Wednesday. Wednes-day. A wedding of interest to society was that of Miss Laura Newton and Frederick Webster which took place at the home of the bride's parents on Thursday evening. It was followed by a large reception. The marriage of Miss Ruth Brubaker to Frank Earl Rudy will take place on Tuesday at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Brubaker. The ceremony will be followed by a reception. Mr. and Mrs. Milton W. Beifuss have returned from California and are at home at 344 North Main. Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Judge have taken the Farnsworth home in Federal Heights for the winter, win-ter, having closed their country house during the week. Miss.Afton Young, has returned from a visit with her sister, Mrs. Kenneth Kerr In Seattle.
