Show Happenings and Whereabouts Mr. and Mrs.- W. W. Armstrong gave a musical mu-sical at their home on Monday evening, whioh was attended by naif a hundred friends. The program of the evening included a number of vocal and instrumental selections. Mrs. William Reid, assisted by Mrs. Lester D. Freed and Miss Afton Young entertained informally in-formally at a tea at her home on Monday. Mrs. William D. iFoster is visiting Mrs. Geo. J. McLaughlin, who was formerly Miss Louise Walden of this city, at her country home near Rochester, N. Y. Miss Lucille Clark will be hostess at a dinner din-ner at the Country club this evening to be given in honor of Miss Carolyn Bache and Miss Mary Luman. iColonel and Mrs. Edwin F. Holmes have issued is-sued invitations for a dance at their beautiful country place Oakwood, which will take place on Tuesday evening, August the fourth. Mrs. T. G. Stallsmith of Chicago, who is visiting Mrs. Charles W. Fifleld, was the guest of honor at a luncheon given at the Country club on Wednesday my Mrs. L. C. Robinson. Miss Daisy Rayboud has returned from a visit in Seattle. Mr. and Mrs. Keane Miller have returned from the northwest and are temporarily at home at the L. C. Miller residence. Mrs. George N. Lawrence gave a luncheon in honor of her sister, Miss Erminie Calvin on Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Miss Margaret McCluro '.nd Miss AUne Mac-Millan Mac-Millan are spending a few days at Brighton. Mrs. Jay T. Harris and Children are visiting Colonel and Mrs. Holmes at Oakwood. Mrs. Clifford R. Foster was the hostess at a luncheon fololwed by bridge at the Hotel Utah on Monday, given in honor of Mrs. Herman Uih-lein Uih-lein of Milwaukee. Miss Mary E. Gilmore gave a luncheon at the Country club on Wednesday for' a number for her young friends. |
