Show EMMET n KAISE IT scandinavian friends observe her seventy fifth birthday anniversary mrs elizabeth kaiser who has devoted many years ot of her life to public service as a midwife mid wife in this community was wag tendered a pleasant party tuesday evening at the first ward relief society hall by the ladies ot of the scandinavian relief relict society and their husbands the event being in lionor honor ot of her seventy fifth birthday anniversary ver sary her birthday came on sunday december ath although mrs kaiser is advanced in years she ja is young and active physically the party was in the nature of 0 a surprise and during the evening th honored guest was presented a beau silk bilk umbrella and some hand hand painted china by mrs lars jeppsen president of the scandinavian relief society in benak behalf of all present along with their love and best wishes in response mrs kaiser expressed her appreciation and in recounting some of the experiences ot of her professional fess ional life said that during her practice she had welcomed into this life over eighteen hundred babies and told of the many hardships and trials she had experienced in performing the duties that devolved upon her the program commenced at 7 0 clock and was presided over by peter H sorensen president ot of the scandinavian organization after his bis open ing remarks felicitous remarks were made by mayor james knudson former mayor N C simonsen C P christensen Chrls rudolph kaiser and J other numbers on the program were a reading by peter nielsen a duet by mr and mrs 0 olsen solo mrs lauritz lauritzen Scan scandinavian scandinavia dinavi n folic songs mr tr and mrs organ solo walter nelson readings by mrs joseph hadley and mrs steen house during the rendition of the program a delicious tray luncheon was served to about seventy people present |
