Show HAPPENINGS AND WHERF ABOUTS. $ In honor of Mrs. Raymond isson of Los Angeles, Mrs. H. C. McMillan and the Misses McMillan, were the hostesses on Thursday at the first of a series of bridge teas to be given for the charming visitor. Mrs. L. B. McCornick entertained at an informal in-formal tea at her home on East South Temple on Thursday. For Miss Marion Cameron of Baltimore, Mrs. Charles B. Onderdonk entertained a number of the younger girls at a luncheon at the University Club Thursday. The Misses Pearl and Daisy Savage wero the hostesses at a bridge party followed by a .fy tea at their home on Third Avenue on Thurs day. It was given for their sister, Mrs. Robert Fowler of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. An informal tea was given on Wednesday by Mrs. L. G. Dinwoodey and Mrs. Frank W. Jennings at the home of the former. Mrs. P. J. Daly gave a luncheon followed by bridge for the members of her card club on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Cannon entertained at their home on Sunday evening in honor of Mrs. Cannon's sister, Miss Irene Farrell of Omaha, who is visiting at the Cannon home. Mr. and Mrs. A. P. S. Macqulsten have arrived ar-rived In New York after spending the winter abroad with the Macqulsten family in Scotland. They will arrive here within a day or two. Mrs. Esther Filer entertained at a chlldrens' party at the Hotel Utah on Friday for the little lit-tle friends of her daughter, Lawton. Mr. T. W. Boyer has returned from southern California. Mrs. Boyer will remain away another an-other month. Mrs. Jacob Moritz has gone to' San Fran- " clsco and will visit In Los Angeles before returning re-turning home. Mrs. A. H. Peabody and Miss Margurite Clark are at the Hotel Astor In New York. They will remain away some weeks longer, and will visit in Boston and Washington, D. C. before be-fore returning. Mrs. J. C. Lynch entertained the members of the Crystal Bridge Club at her home on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Dana T. Smith will return today from Los Angeles, where she has spent the past month. Mrs. T. H. Harker at Fort Douglas was the hostess at a tea on Thursday afternoon, given In honor of Mrs. Frank B. Jones and Mrs. Stall-man, Stall-man, who left on Friday for San Francisco and jj, who will sail within the next ton days for the Philippines. |
