Show SOCIAL ITEMS OF TOE THE WEEK the marriage of oe miss thyra morgan and mr kelley B pearce took place wednesday dec 3rd ard at high noon at the INI morgan organ home 23 east 2nd and south street bishop abel abels S rich performed the ceremony in the presence of only the immediate family and a few close friends the bride was beautifully attired in a rose colored satin canton crepe beaded headed gown and carried a boquet of pink and red roses at 4 a delicious hot turkey dinner was served at one long table with covers laid tor for eighteen guests A beautifully decorated wedding cake and low bowls of ted red carnations formed the table decorations and a color scheme of rod red and green was carried out in the living rooms out of town guests included mr and mrs J E morgan of downey idaho and mr and mrs john pearce of cornish the bride Is the daughter of ier mr and mrs evan morgan of this city a graduate of the B E H S and was employed as sales lady at the golden rule store mr pearce Is the son of mr and mrs john pearce of cornish but now employed at the 0 S L depot at salt lake city where the young couple will make their home the fourth ward bishopric entertained the old folks of the ward including all over seventy years of age at the home ot of bishop brigham wright yesterday A hot chicken dinner with all ats its trimmings was served at one long table with covers laid tor for guests following dinner an afternoon of musical numbers songs readings and short talks was enjoyed lewis S pond told in a few words how thankful he was ta to have the privilege of being present and bishop wright told how bow thankful and honored the bishopric were to have the honor of entertaining them special musical numbers were given by mrs earl wright miss nina figgins and miss georgia fizer A most enjoyable afternoon was had by all miss karma kelley was costels hostels hoste ss to the lamotle girls club at her home on south main street wednesday evening needle work was the diversion division of the evening and a dainty hot lun cheon was served to nine members and one guest miss kelley was assisted in serving by miss ethel reed |
