Show The popularity of the Russian Symphony Orchestra Or-chestra is based quite as much upon the fact that the music played is music of interest and worth as upon the excellence of its interpretation. It is a difficult task to play orchestral music as it should be played, but it is a more trying task to choose compostions which have the proper public appeal. In the concerts to be given in this city by the Russian Symphony Orchestra on Monday and Tuesday, May 22 and 23, at the May Music Festival, the numbers to be heard will live long in the memory of all who are fortunate enough to be present. |
