Show In honor of Miss Lillian Woodward, Mrs. O. W. Powers entertained at a beautiful luncheon at her home on Monday afternoon. Mrs. David Keith was the hostess at an elaborate elab-orate luncheon at her home on Tuesday. Miss Nora Lamison, who is a prominent member mem-ber of the Sothern-Marlowe company, has been entertained by a number of her friends during her stay in the city this week. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Kiser have entertained at a number of informal affairs in her honor. Roger Powers, son of Judge and MraO. W. Towers, was chosen as the class representative to speak at the inter-collegiate banquet which was held In Detroit last night. This is a signal honor at the University and will be read with pleasure by h!s many friends here. The marriage of Miss Lottie Obendorfer and Arthur A. Cohu will take place tomorrow after- ' noon at B'nai Brith hall The bride will be attended at-tended by her sisters, Mrs. A. Simon, of Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, and Mr3. Ferdinand Frledlander, of Chicago. Miss Colbourne of Rowland hall entertained the members of senior class at a theatre party at the arrick last evening, followed by a supper at the hall. Tuesday, at the apartments of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bintz, in the Sampson, Miss Edith Pri-meaux Pri-meaux and Milberne O. Eastman were married in the presence of their relatives and a few intimate in-timate friends. The Rev. P. A. Simpkin performed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Eastman will make their home in Nebraska. Miss Ethel Felt, whose marriage to Joseph P. Marshall will take place in June, will entertain a number of her friends at the University club at a luncheon on Friday, followed by bridge. On Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Maas will give a tea in her honor, and on Thursday next Mrs. Henry M. Crowther will entertain for her at a luncheon. A beautiful affair of Wednesday was the luncheon lunch-eon given by Mrs. E. A. Wall, given. in honor of Mrs. J. W. Houston. Miss Edith Shearman entertained at a tea on Tuesday in honor of Mrs. John Longmate of Helena, Hele-na, Montana. In honor of her guest, Mrs. C. R. Burke and Mr. and Mrs. F. E. McGurrin entertained at a theatre party at the Colonial on Tuesday evening. Mrs. J. T. Harris and children have arrived from southern California and are now the guests of olonel and Mrs. E. F. Holmes. Mrs. B. O. Mecklenberg was the hostess at the meeting of the Crystal club on Wednesday. She was assisted by Mrs. C. A. Quigley and Mrs. Fred Davidson. Captain Frederick Goedecko has been transferred trans-ferred to the seventeenth infantry. Mrs. Kiser and Miss Janette Kiser have left for their home in Davenport, Iowa. Colonel and Mrs. H. E. BiOoth announce the engagement of their daughter Uinta, to C. E. Bowers. The wedding will be one of the events of June. On next Wednesday at the home of the parents par-ents of the bride-to-be, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. A. Cul-mer, Cul-mer, the wedding of Miss Florence Culmer and David Joseph Varnes will take place, followed by a large reception. Mr. .and Mrs. Thomas R. Cutler have announced an-nounced the marriage of their daughter Vera, to David H. Thomas, the wedding to take place in June. |
