Show w HAPPENINGS AND WHEREABOUTS. A pretty home wedding of Wednesday evening even-ing was that of Miss Florence Edna Holman of this city and Dr. Wm. R. Kinnard of Idaho Falls, which took place at the home of the bride, the (Reverend R. G. McNiece performing the cqiv mony. Mrs. Charles Mostyn Owen entertained at an elaborate tea on Wednesday in honor of her sister, Mrs, Gamlin of London, and Mrs. Choato of Denver. The hostess was assisted by Mrs. M. M. Johnson, Mrs. J. B. Galigher Mrs. Georjre S. Gennett, Mrs. E. C. Parsons, Mis. Wm. R. Wallace, Mrs. John C. Daly and Mis. Harry S. Knight. Roger W. Powers was the host at an Orpheuia laity g'ven for a dozen of the younger set on Wednesday evening, a supper fol'owing at his home in Popperton. Mrs. J. E. Bamberger and Miss Dorothy Bamberger Bam-berger will leave tomorrow for New York, having hav-ing spent the summer here. Mr. and Mrs. Bamberger Bam-berger will sail shortly for Europe, while Miss Bamberger will re-enter Miss Bennett's school. A beautiful reception was that given on Tuesday Tues-day by Mrs. Causten Browne at her home on First Avenue. The hostess was assisted in receiving re-ceiving by Mrs. George Y. Wallace, Mrs. J. E. Galigher, Mrs. G. V. Verbryck, Mrs. F. I. Jansen and Mrs. Charles Wilkes. A delightful bridge party on Wednesday was that given by Mrs. Eugene B. Palmer at her home on K street. A score of guests were present, pres-ent, and following the brideg a delightful luncheon lunch-eon was served and later an informal musical program was given. Mrs. Palmer was assisted by Mrs. Sarah G. Boggs. H Miss Margaret Walker entertained on Tuos- H day in honor of Miss Bernardine Kimball. Miss Lillian Lane and Miss Shirley Palmer assisted at H the pretty event. The latter left for her home H in Cleveland on Friday. H Mrs. Otto Sussman, nee Bailay, is here from H New York and is visiting with her mbther, Mrs. H Emily W. Bailey. They are home for the pres- H ent at the Copley home at 748 East South Tern- H pie. H Captain and Mrs. Robert H. Allen are visiting H Mru. Allen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Mc- H Intyre on Fifth East street, and are being made M the recipients of many social affairs in their M honor. Captain Allen is now stationed at Gov- M ernor's Island but is on leave of absence for a M few weeks. m Miss Gladys Savage has gone to Washington, H D. C where she will enter Fairmont seminary m for ' .e winter. m Ms. Kiser and Miss Jeanette Kiser of Daven- M port, Iowa, have returned and "vlll spent" a few H weeks with Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Kiser. Later, M they will leave for Pasedena. H Mrs. Wallace Bransford entertained deHght- H fully at luncheon on Thursday. |
