Show "Baby Mine," which opened John Corfa new H theatre in San Francisco and which had in e- H "eptional run in New York last winter, will ba H here within a short time. The Margaret Mayo H company, which is under the direction of Vm.A. H Brady, is one of the funniest things on the stage H if properly played. If not, it trifles with a sacred H subject in a way that must be nothing but revoh H ing. However, practically all of the original com- H pany will be seen here, the only change being that H the part taken by Marguerite Clark in New York H is being filled by Marjorie Courtland. Ernest H Glendenning, Walter Jones and Marjorie De- H laney, who wee in the New York company, and H who made it one of the big successes of last seu- H son, will be seen here and it is said that Mi$s H Courtland fills the bill In every particular, so H that we may anticipate one of the greatest H treats of the theatrical season, The writer saw H the play in New York upon its opening night, H and it is not too much to say that seldom in the H history of the stage has an audience exhibited H such a composite collection of hysterics as that H which greeted Miss Clark and Mr. Glendenning. H Bromidic as the expression may sound, It is one 'jM long scream from start to finish. jH |
