Be it ordained by tho City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: I SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sidewalk Districts Nos. 21, 40 and 41, for the construction of cement sidewalks, side-walks, to-wit: In Lots 21. to 24, inclusive, and 2S to 81, Inclusive, Block 4; In Lots 14 to 17 inclusive, and 1, 2, 6, 6, 7 and 8, Block 8, City Park Subdivision of Block 20, Plat "C"; in Lots 1 and 29. and 30 to 6G, inclusive, Block 2, and 20 and 80, Block 1, City Park Subdivision of i Block 21, Plat "C"; in Lots 20 and 27, Block 4, and 26 and 27. Block 6, 1 Albert Place Subdivision of Block 3, ' Plat "C"; in Lot 8 to 18, inclusive, Block 8, and 1 to 18, inclusive, Block 6, Muscatine Place Subdivision of part of tho oast half of tho oast quarter of Section 11, Township 1 south, Range 1 west, Salt Lako Meridian; In part of tho southeast quarter of Section 11, Township 1 south, Rango 1 west, Salt Lake 'Base and Meridian, described as follows: Beginning at a point on tho west side of Eighth West Stroot 442.63 feet north of tho south line 'of said Section 11, thence north 1188 foot; in Lots 5 and 6, Block 4, Plat "C"; in Lots 1 to 10, inclusive, Br 1A, J. This tax is loviod to defray tho expense ex-pense of constructing comont sidewalks four (4) feet wide and four (4) Inches thick upon tho portions of said streets opposite tho property hereinbefore and horolnaftor described to bo especially affected nnd benefited by said improvement, improve-ment, and it Is hereby adjudged, determined de-termined and established that .said prroporty will be especially benefited thereby to tho full amount of tho tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal nnd uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said streets fronting upon nnd to a depth of twenty-five twenty-five (26) foot back therefrom, and the tax hereby loviod and to bo assessed upon said parcels of land is sovon thousand thou-sand three hundred sovon and 79-100 ($7,307.79) dollars, or 82-100 ($0.82) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting abut-ting property for sidewalks on the streets above mentioned in Sidewalk Districts Nos. 21 and 41, there being 8911.94 feet of abutting property within with-in tho boundaries of tho lots, blocks and streets above mentioned In said districts, which is tho total cost and cost per front foot of said sidewalks according to tho contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with J. D. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five equal installments, install-ments, as follows, to-wit: One-flfth thereof one year after the approval of- tho ordlnanco confirming tho levy of the tax for tho payment for such improvement; im-provement; one-fifth thereof in two years aftor such approval; one-fifth thereof In throe years aftor such approval; ap-proval; one-fifth thereof in four years after such approval; and one-fifth thereof In five years after such approval. ap-proval. One or more of said installments, install-ments, or tho whole special tax may bo paid on or before ton days after tho approval of tho ordlnanco confirming tho levy of tho tax. One or more installments, in-stallments, or tho whole special tax may bo paid on tho day any installment becomes duo, by paying tho amount thereof and Interest to date of payment. pay-ment. Each of said installments shall boar interest at tho rate of six (G) por cent por annum from tho date of tho approval of tho ordinance confirming tho levy of said tax until the date of delinquency, de-linquency, and eight (8) per cont por annum from delinquency until paid. AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE assessment upon the property within the district bounded on the north by Fifth South street, on tho west by tho gravity sewer, on tho south by Nintli Soutli street, and on the east by Ninth East street. Be it ordained by tho City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: Section 1.
