Welch, Wel-ch, county agricultural agent ot Provo, this week investigated the new outbreak ot anthrax among the dairy cattie of Undon. Four cows on two ranches have died thus far wfthfn tho Inst sovcral day from the disease. Dcrt Cobblcy of Undon will represent rep-resent tho Undon farm bureau In os-tMstlng os-tMstlng tho county agent and the stato veterinarian In combating the disease. Tho farmers hav0 agreed to do everything fn their .power to control the situation and will follow tho "advice of the stato veterinarian. Dr. Stephenson said that the dls-caso dls-caso Is contracted by tho cattlo in the7' land around Undon which has been used for years as pasture lands. Ho suggested to the farmers that all ot the pastur0 lands be drained and the soil cultivated ns a means of clearing the land from the anthrax germs. He said that experience has convinced 'veterinarians that anthrax germs live nt loast 21 years In wet, grassy pastures like those at Undon. Un-don.
