Show SOCIAL ITEMS OF 0 F THE li wefa tho ladies of the kindergarten club were delightfully entertained with wilh a program and luncheon friday after I 1 noon at the commercial clu club b rooms I 1 the long tables wre artistically decorated with pumpkins filled with fall flowers and yellow and black candles suggestive of halloween lighted the tables mrs leroy white acted as toastmistress and toasts were given by the following ladies autumn mrs J E ryan vanity mrs mark reeder our babies mrs C H skidmore style mrs leroy horsley patriotism mrs E M tyson and club activities mrs james B thomson community singing of popular songs led by miss fowles was enjoyed by all the clever little place cards containing a secret fortune for each lady was read by the owners amid much laughter the business and professional girls club met at the odd fellows hall last evening at 8 A short busl busi iness I 1 ness meeting was held and later seven new members were presented and initiated into the club as follows ethel frogley emma blau lula jensen ronella jensen maurine olsen rose christensen and sadie dark clark later a short program was rendered including a reading by miss la preal wight solo by mrs jessie jensen accompanied by miss elnora hatch and community singing under the direction of miss ada johnson following the program the girls were divided into groups ot of four and composed original songs which were later sung much to the merriment of all present much talent was displayed and a club song was adopted later dainty refreshments consisting of brick ice cream and delli cious cakes were served to thirty five guests the serving committee included the misses trieste box lu la clel forest hazel christensen nellie jensen and mrs ruth conine A prettily arra arranged ned wedding reception was given at the home ot of M friday evening complimentary to his son rudolph whose marriage to miss arleen cottam cottain of snow ville was solemnized in the logan temple wednesday beautiful garden flowers adorned the rooms and a hot dinner was served at one long table with covers laid tor for 40 guests following the dinner a social iclal evening was enjoyed mr and mrs were the recipients of many beautiful gitts gifts out of town guests included H P hansen and son axel of salt lake city mr air and ana mrs richard hansen and family mr and mrs geo brockman and family all of 0 ogden and mrs leo cottam of 0 snowville Snow ville miss ora lee daughter of president and mrs S norman lee has accepted a call to perform a mission in the eastern states and will leave some rime lime in december for her field of 01 labor miss lee is an accomplished young lady at present stenographer for leroy B young and wm win E davis attorneys with boffl offices ces in the first national bank building |
