Show STA A YE MUTUAL convention N four members of the general board salt lake present elders nicholas G smith and german E ellsworth and margaret newton and ruth may fox members of the general board of the mutual improvement pro associations salt lake city were present at the M 1 I A convention held in this city sunday with president W H shaynor presiding the first session for all the stake board members was held at the high school building at 9 a m another session was held at 10 a in when all the officers of the mutual improvement associations the stake presidency and other officers and members of the various ious wards in the stake were present at this session the work for the coming year was outlined and discussed from 12 to I 1 k inc luncheon eon was served by the domestic science department of the box elder high school which was enjoyed the young ladies were commended for the splendid manner in which they handled this feature from I 1 to 2 p rn separate board i meetings were held and from 2 to 4 p in separate meetings of stake and ward officers there was a good attendance at these sessions the closing session for the general public was held at 7 at the tabernacle when the four visitors from salt lake city discussed the M 1 I A slogan honor thy father and thy A mother other speakers were IV V call and president william Willi arn 0 horsley who discussed the same subject scripture reading and slogan perry D peters the following musical numbers were rendered selection by the boy scout band C C watkins director chorus the misses alice koford delone cheal bertha bowring and gay jeppson bee hive girls chorus boy scouts chorus junior girls the closing clasing number love at home jay knudson offered the invocation and miss nellie jensen the benediction |
