Show SALT LAKE ANTI-MORMON. The city of Salt Lake has been wrested from the control of the Mormon church. Last Tuesday the American party elected its entire ticket, which was composed of those unalterably opposed to the domination of the church in political affairs. It was a victory like unto the old kind, when Utah was a territory and the Gentiles fought under the "Liberal" banner. It shows that the business interests in-terests of the "City of Saints and Sinners" have resolved that politics and Mormon religion are not a good mixture, especially for the Gentile, or even the liberal Mormon, and that the political rule of the priest and prophet must end forever. Salt Lake is to be congratulated upon her delivery de-livery from the benightening thraldom of the Mormon Mor-mon church, and, if the good work is to be continued, con-tinued, I predict a great flow of peace and prosperity pros-perity to her people.
