It is said that Henry Ford can rightfully claim premiership among American designers for tho appearance of this typo of car, he, having entered a G-cylinder car in competition at Ormond In the winter of 1903-04. In the same year, however, an English Napier G-cylinder car also competed, and, it is only fair to state, that in this regard our British cousins were a year or two ahead of us, for the G-cylinder touring car had already become there and had gained considerable headway head-way in popularity. Until within the last few months it has been known in this country only in the speed class. The popularity of this type of car Is shown by the rapidly increasing demand for it in the H large cities Now York, Boston and Chicago In flH each of which cities last week a number of cars 1 were sold equal to the entire output of the Ford factory for that week.
