Show The announcement made by J. H. Manderfield, assistant general freight and passenger agent of the Salt Lake Route, late last week that effective effec-tive Sunday, AuguBt 28th, a new limited train goes on between Salt Lake and Los Angeles, tells a story of increased traffic of the better sort between be-tween Utah and California over that road that should be of the greatest encouragement to its officials. The new train is a high class limited and Is composed of only standard Pullmans, tourist sleepers and a diner. It is made up here and leaves Salt Lake daily at three o'clock, arriving at Los Angeles at 2:30 o'clock the next day. East-bound East-bound the new train, which has been named the-American the-American Express, leaves Los Angeles at 2.30 o'clock every forenoon, arriving here at 3 o'clock the next day. The addition of the new train gives the Salt Lake route three fast through trains be-, tween Utah and California daily. The necessity for them and particularly the new Express, is an admirable record and one made in the face of two of the greatest disasters in the history of western west-ern railroad operations. |
