Show THE VISIT OF PRESIDENT TAFT AN OVERSIGHT For the forty-eight hours that President Taft will spend in the city, a program of exceptional excep-tional merit In all respects but one lias been arranged. He will have a public reception, visit the Country Club for a game of golf, hear the great organ, see the living flag, meet the notables not-ables and be shown points of interest in and around the city. The committee In charge, however, how-ever, is responsible for a grave oversight, which, when brought to their attention, will undoubtedly be remedied. Is it to be presumed that the President will want to visit the North Bench, he would, probably feel that he had missed an important feature of the city's growth if he were not shown this marvelous mar-velous new residence section, where the Salt Lake Security and Trust company is erecting homes for the people. The improvements alone are a public benefaction. benefac-tion. "Where three years ago there was only a wild range of sage-brush and sand reaching up to the foothills, there are new houses, lawns and little children playing in the open air. What nobler no-bler sight with which to greet a President! Architects and builders agree that there is no better prospect for the home-buyer than this property prop-erty on the North Bench. The location on an elevation which commands an unobstructed view of the valley, and gives perfect drainage, is unexcelled. un-excelled. The new Ninth avenue car line, which will be In operation this fall, makes the North Bench easy of access and in addition there are all the modern improvements, city water, gas, electric elec-tric lights, and the telephone. Because of the construction gangs at work on the car Hue at B street and Ninth avenue, automobiles automo-biles and carriages would proceed up Brigham street to C, and thence north on C street to the bench At some point, preferably near the corner of Tenth avenue and C street, there should be a long pause to enjoy the exceptional view. Here, on a clear day, may be seen Saltalr, Garfield, Murray, Mur-ray, the Jordan river in its course through the valley, and the most distant peaks, a sight such as many visitors from the East have never seen in their lives. This view and its accessibility make North Bench property the best seller in the market today. |
