Show O O O HAPPENINGS AND WHEREABOUTS. The Lester D. Freeds are rejoicing over the arrival ar-rival of a baby boy, left by the good stork on Wednesday last. Miss Loreen Leary gave a luncheon at the Country club on AVednosday for Miss Bartch and Miss McMillan. For Miss Frances Cowan, the Misses Elizabeth and Mildred. Lane entertained at cards on Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Rice have returned from New England, where they have spent the past 7 six weeks. Miss Anna McCornick has gone to New York, whero she will meet her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. McCornlck on their return from Buropo. They will return here during September. J. W. Houston and Miss Grizelle Houston are in San Francisco. Dwight Holmes has gone ta Los Angeles and will remain a-way until the middle of September. Mrs. Andrew Howat and Mrs. Roy Hampton have gone to Los Angeles. Mrs. J. B. Bamberger and Miss Dorothy Bamberger Bam-berger will return from Europe shortly. They will be here in September. Mrs. Margaret Zane Witcher has returned from Brighton. Miss Rae Bartch will be the guest of honor today at an affair given by Mrs. Robert Brown and Mrs. Frank Dole. Miss Margaret Dunn and Miss Shirley Palmer are visiting friends at Lake Tahoe. Mrs. Emanuel Kahn entertained at an elab oi ate luncheon at her home on Tuesday. Mrs. Louis Gordon was the hostess at a luncheon lunch-eon at the Country club on Friday. Mrs. H. C. Stimpson has returned from Buffalo Buf-falo and is- at home at the Fifth East hotel. |
