An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property on both sides of Alameda Avenue between Twelfth East and Thirteenth East Streets, in Sewer District No. 1, for tho construction of a sewer. Be it ordained by the City ouncil of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for tho assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of a sewer, to-wit: In Lots 3, 4, 7 and 8, Block Zi. Plat "F," abutting rin both sides of Alameda Avenue between Twelfth East and Thirteenth Thir-teenth East Streets. This tax Is levied to defray tho expenses ex-penses of constructing a vitrified pipe sewer eight (8) inches in diameter upon tho portions of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described de-scribed to bo especially affected and benefited ben-efited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined nnd established estab-lished that said property will be especially especial-ly benefited tnereby to tho full amount of tho tax hereby levied, and said parcels par-cels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with tho linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom nnd tho tax hereby levied and to bo assessed upon said parcels par-cels of land is eight hundred ninety and 85-100 ($S90.S5) dollars, or 730205-1,000.000 ($0.730205) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sower on said portion of tho street above mentioned in Sewer District No. 1, there being 1.220 feet of abutting property within tho boundaries of the lots, block and street above mentioned, which is tho total cost and cost per front foot of said sewer according ac-cording to the contract entered into for tho performance of said Avork und making mak-ing said improvement, with Georgo Ross and John P. Johnson, dated tho 8th dnv of December, 1908, and tho Treasurer Is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance with tho provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned. men-tioned. SECTION 2. Said tax shall becomo and bo delinquent In five fqual Installments, Install-ments, as follows, to-wit: One-fifth thereof ono year after tho approval of tho ordinance confirming the levy of tho tax for tho payment for such improvement; improve-ment; ono-fifth thereof in two years after af-ter such approval; ono-fifth thereof In threo years after such approval: ono-fifth ono-fifth thereof In four years after such approval; ap-proval; and one-fifth thereof in five years after such approval. Ono or moro of said installments, or tho wholo tax mav bo paid on or before ten days after the approval of tho ordinance confirming the levy of tho tax. Ono or moro installments, install-ments, or tho wholo special tax may bo paid on the day uny instalment becomes due by paying tho amount thereof and interest to date of payment. Each of said installments shall bear interest at tho rate of six (6) por cent per annum from tho date of tho approval of tho ordinance or-dinance confirming the levy of said tax until tho date of delinquency, and eight (8) por cent per annum from delinquency until paid.
