Punch was served in Bi , the den, Mrs. McCullough and Mrs. William C. on Druehl presiding. C. Bellingers. He will go around the B9 world with the fleet. HB K i5 w 5 HI I Mrs. Walter Scott of Fort Douglas entertained Wednesday at a beautifully appointed bridge tea for the officers and ladies of the post, with quite a crowd from town. Mrs. Russel L. Tracy and Mrs. Henry LaMotte poured for the hostess. Green and white decorations were used throughout through-out the rooms. Five tables were played and later in the afternoon the officers and ladies who were not playing came in for tea. c 5 S Several affair have been planned the last ten days for Mrs. iseph J. Campbell, the first of them being a bridge tea given her Wednesday afternoon by Miss Eudora Daly. About thirty guests were in for the afternoon. The Daly home was decorated in sweet peas. After the play Mrs. John C. Daly and Mrs. T. Roy poured. Miss Selma Wall assisted. It was one of the prettiest parties of the week. Greenewald will not be home for some three weeks yet. Miss Lorene Leary entertained fourteen guests at luncheon at the Country Club Wednesday Wednes-day for her grandmother, Mrs. Stephenson. t5 5 i5 The regular hop was held at the post Friday night, and was one of the prettiest appointed dances of the season. A big crowd was out from town and half a do-sen affairs wire given before and after the dancing, including a supper by Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Butcher. tw i& fc Idlewild, in Ogden Canyon, woke up to the tune of a big dinner Wednesday evening, when two motor cars from Salt Lake buzzed in with E. S. Ferry at the wheel of one and Clem Schramm at the other. In the party were Mr. and Mrs. Ferry. Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Callahan. Mr. and Mrs. Heber M. Wells. Mrs. W. G. Filer. O v Walter Rivers of Los Angeles is here visiting his grandmother, Mrs. Frank Hill. 5v i The F. E. McGurrins are off for their proposed pro-posed Alaska trip. They left Tuesday evening for Seattle. Jt & A merry party of girls left town this morning for two or three days in Ogden canyon. They will probably spend most of the time at the Hermitage. Miss Elsie Parsons, Miss Virginia Beatty, Miss Edith Godbe and a half dozen others, chaperoned by Mrs. C. Ira Tuttle, are in the party. k5 t j Mrs. E. P. LaCompte of Park City is in town for a week or so. t & jt Miss Mary Halloran, who has been abroad for a year or more, has arrived In New York and is expected home within a few weeks. t5 5 Miss Jean Odill entertained a few tables at bridge Tuesday evening at her home, in honor of Miss Luvera Snow of Chicago. ? w 5 Welcome news of other army people reached here this week, when information was received r that Captain and Mrs. Bryant S. Wells of the I Twenty-ninth sailed from Manila June 15th and will come directly to Salt Lake City for a visit with Mrs. Wells' mother, Mrs. T. W. Jennings. Lieutenant and Mrs. Will H. Point will sail at the same time, and they will probably stop here on their way east. t ? fc The regular table d'hote luncheon at the Country Club brought a crowd down from town and several people from the post Wednesday. & & Mrs. Willis Uline entertained the Regimental Bridge club at the Uline quarters at the post on Tuesday. 7 fcjw &fr Mrs. Frank B. Stephens entertained at luncheon lunch-eon at her home Tuesday. 5 5 Mrs. Savage, mother of Captain Savage of Fort Douglas, is here from Alabama and will spend most of the summer with her son. &fr i&fr i& Mr. and Mrs. Walter W. Little are home from their Wedding trip and are at home at present with Mrs. Little's mother, Mrs. Louis Martin. w & 5 Lieutenant Snow and Lieutenant Walthall go to Leon Springs late this month to participate' in target work at that place, they having been the victors in the ofllcers' contest here. Lieutenant .and Mrs. Snow will entertain tonight with bridge and a Dutch supper In honor of their guest, Mrs. W. A.
