Show A HOT GAME AT THE CAPITAL. Washington, June 24. The final series of games between the Administration and the "An-tis" "An-tis" for the championship is attracting crowds every day. The first game was interrupted by several sudden storms. It was a pitchers' battle, bat-tle, in which P. M. General Payne, for the home team, came out ahead. His support was weak, and several times the home team was badly ratf tied. Perry Heath and Charles Emory Smith both took their turns in the box, and were hit safely several times. A feature of the game was Tulloch's hot drive at Smith. Smith could not handle it and fumbled, letting Bristow score. The visitors played an errorless gamfe, but the score-keeper score-keeper got writer's cramp recording the errors of the home team. Not one of their runs was earned on hits, but by clever base-running and stealing. Metcalf's saciifice in the ninth narrowly saved the Administration from a shutout. Van Cott was hit by a pitched ball, and injured so seriously that it is understood he will be out of the game for some time. Young Van Cott stayed on the bench throughout the game. Captain Payne was fined for kicking too vigorously against One of Umpire Roosevelt's decisions.
