A retrospective picture I of how he hoodwinked President Snow into sending send-ing him to the Senate, apparently haunted him, when the following scone, described in an exchange, ex-change, took place: While Senator Stone was working off his speech on campaign corruption the other day, Senator Sen-ator Kearns escaped to the corridor, where a friend found him walking aimlessly about, with an expression of extreme nausea on hlB face. "Why, Senator, are you ill?" inquired the friend solicitously. "Yes, I'm ill," replied the Senator. "I'm sick. I've been in there listening to Stone talk about corruption in elections, and I must have fresh I air." |
