Show Mining JVote. Contractor Joe Dederich returned during the week from the Newhouso properties and states that work is progressing rapidly on the pipe line being laid from Wah Wah springs. Unless there Js some delay in the arrival o? the pipe, the contractor con-tractor states that the line will be completed within sixty days. Work will then be commenced to continue through the fall pnd winter, on the concrete foundations both for the many buildings and the machinery. A largo corps of men will be kept constantly busy until the completion of the largo amount of construction work contemplated before the installation of the plant. 1c& t Manager McCune has received gratifying news from the Tintic of an important strike in the Victor Con. A solid body of ore, going as high as 15 per cent copper, was encountered, and it is the belief that the operations have now disclosed dis-closed the main ore bodies of the mine. 5 t w Operations at the Annie Laurie will be resumed re-sumed in the near future, as the repairs on the mill are being made as rapidly as possible and everything will probably be in shape for active work some time during the coming week. Great activity is reported among the various properties proper-ties in the vicinity of the Annie Laurie. ? v fcy At the Gold Vein Mining company's properties proper-ties at Marysvalo a rich strike has been reported, report-ed, five feet of ore, showing large quantities of gold, has been opened in a nine-foot ledge. From all indications the view on which the company is now working is extremely rich. It is a solid vein about thirty inches in thickness and the native na-tive gold is plainly visible. The report of the I strike was confirmed by George Romney, Jr., a director of the company, who visited the p"roperty upon learning of the reported discovery. V v The Daly-Judge was forced to close down temporarily tem-porarily during the week in order that needed repairs re-pairs might be made to the rails, which have been in bad condition for several months. This leaves two hundred and fifty men temporarily out of employment, although they wi'l probably resume work shortly, as the repairs are being made with the greatest dispatch possible. t t3 t The Merrill Mining company is shortly to be Incorporated with a capitalization of ?GO,000, and will operate on six locations at Dugway in the Deep Creek territory. The company has six locations loca-tions there and preliminary work has already been done to the extent of about 400 feet. H. H. Green will be president of the new company, Marion Merrill, vice president and J. G. Jacobs, secretary and treasurer. The locations on which the company is to operate are adjacent to the Car-jg Car-jg rick group. |
