Spencer, the manager of the Salt Lake 9 Symphony Orchestra, hasmat with such encour- 9 agement during the past wdk, that the future 9 success of this fine organization is now assured 9 The canvass made thus far by the members of B the organization has resulted in the raising of M more than $1,000 for the Reserve fund and' the fsa president, the Rev. Elmer I. Goshen, reports that 9 the plan is endorsed by everybody who has been approached on the subject. 'Jfl It is the purpose to secure a fund of three or W tour thousand dollars which will enable Mr. Shep- herd to plan four or five concerts eaoh season for a number of years, when it is hoped the Symphony M orchestra will stand alone, as in other cities. -j The next concert "will be given the first woolc j in December, and three more will follow during m the winter months. m Following is a partial list of the patrons who m have subscribed from five to one hundred dollars J each.
