Jack and Mae Chynoweth of'' Tropic will help them celebrated 60 years of marriage, as they observe the anniversary of theif union June 24, 1942 in the Sah Lake LDS Temple. Stilt sweethearts, they court; ed for both their junior and sen' ior years of high school before formally saying I do. '-'', Jack worked for the National Park Service for 31 years-i rounding his days out with' ranching and farming on the; side. He served in the U.S Army in WWII for two years; 1944-1946, and was wounded on the front lines of battled receiving the Purple Heart in'' that conflict in Europe. As members of the LDS church, Jack and Mae have-' served at one time or another in' every auxiliary, with Jack also.'-; serving a number of years in the ; ward bishopric. Mae served irr both ward and stake Reliefs-Society Reliefs-Society presidencies. In later- years they were called to the St. -Louis Missouri mission and had;' to return due to health complica-! ; tions. They have been able tti -serve as temple ordinance work-1 -'. ers in the St. George LDS; -', TempIefor four years as well. ; - They are the parents of four '. -children, Jack Evan (Carolyn) I-Chynoweth I-Chynoweth and the late Judith l -Ann Twitchell of St. George; ' -Deanna (Scott) Linford oi'-Magna; oi'-Magna; Kristine (Jim) Milne of-" St. George and Randa Kay (Bob' -'. Joe) Ott of Tropic. The -; Chynoweths have been blessed -'. with' 23 grandchildren and 3L- great-grandchildren. ' -'. |
