Show Boys Teams Head In To Last Week The boys teams in Garfield County play their last league games this week before heading to Richfield for the Round - Robin next Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Feb. 28, Mar. 1 & : 2). Last week, Panguitch got by a hard fought game with Escalante 62-46. If the Moquis can get this kind of effort next week, they can go the state tournament. tour-nament. Landon Fullmer led the Bobcats with 18 points, Adam Howard hit 15, Acey Burning- ham 14 and Devin Englestead 10. Escalante's Nathan Lyman scored 16 and Lucas Schulkoski went for a dozen. Brandon Barney was a perfect six for six from the free-throw line for the Moquis. Wayne stopped Bryce Valley 64-55 in another solid outing for the Mustangs. The game was knotted 30-30 at the half. The Mustangs only hit 7 of 16 free throws and that hurts in a close game. In the loss, the Super Sophs, shined once again. David Mathews ripped in 19, Ty Ramsay 16 and Levi LeFevre 15 for Bryce Valley. In one other game last week, Escalante's girls finished up their season, losing to Duchesne 33-21. Ashley Bodily led the Moquis with 8 points. Congratulations Congrat-ulations to their team for making mak-ing the playoffs. Seniors Bodily, Jennifer Lyman and Elisa Cottam have had nice careers playing for one of the real class coaches in 1A, Angie Alvey. |
