Show - By Mayall Sawyer 735-4207 Isaac and Verena Burrows were married in the St. George Temple on Dec. 16. A wedding reception was held that evening in the Hatch LDS Ward Cultural hall. Family members from out of town who attended were Misty Burrows and Terryna Grieves of Las Vegas, Nev.; Paul, Shauna and Shilo Hatch, Panguitch; Kenny and Monica Barnson and girls, Enoch; and Grandma LaMola Howell and Bill Burrows , Hurricane. Craig and Terri Barney went to Magna to visit her parents, Leo and Melba Rupp. They also visited Ryan and Kara Barney of Midvale. Terri attended a baby shower for Kara in Sandy at the home of Kara's sister. Maggie Burrows is a candidate for Outstanding Scholarship program, pro-gram, Miss Teen Age of Utah. She will judged on community service, ser-vice, academic and scholastic grades, and an essay. The competition compe-tition will be held in Ogden in February. The Hatch LDS Ward in conjunction con-junction with Hatch Town held their annual Christmas party. A ham dinner with all the fixings was served by the young women of our town. The Hatch Ward Primary put on the program. Then Santa came and gave all the children a treat. The town awarded the prizes for the annual Christmas lighting contest. con-test. Becky Brooks took first. Lewis and Sue Barney and Janett Young were tied for second. . Leland and Adell Riggs spent a few days in Las Vegas . They stayed with Will and Mary Riggs. The young people of the Hatch LDS Ward went Christmas caroling to all the homes. They rode on a flat-bed of a truck with hay for seats. Rick Sawyer went north on Wednesday to have a medical checkup. check-up. " Kurt Sawyer of Mesquite came and picked up May Sawyer and Valeene Roberts of Antimony. They went to Orem where they visited Leone and Veota Wooley and on the following day they went to Ogden to attend the funeral for Donna Gay Allen Sawyer, the wife of Clifton Sawver. |
