Show BVHS Students Help Escalante Fire Victims Bryce Valley High School students, stu-dents, instead of celebrating with a Christmas party on their final day of school before their holiday break, opted instead to conduct a fund raising project to help the Blaine Porter family in Escalante whose home had been destroyed by fire the previous week. In less than two hours the students collected more than $1200 which Principal Earl Slack presented pre-sented to the family. The young people organized into groups and were accompanied by their teachers to Bryce and Bryce Valley communities. com-munities. The seniors traveled to Cannonville and Bryce, the juniors to Henrieville and the 7th, 8th and 9th graders walked door-to-door in Tropic. The project was organized by the BVHS student council composed com-posed of class presidents and the student body executive council composed of the school's student body officers. ( |
