Show Cannonville News By Marva Fletcher 679-8521 The Cannonville LDS Ward High Priests hosted an especially nice dinner and talent show Saturday Satur-day evening with chili, baked potato po-tato bar, salad, root beer - the good home made kind, and lots of ice cream in several different flavors, along with the fixings for sundaes, floats and whatever. It was wonderful! wonder-ful! The question is - did they do the cooking by themselves or were the wives involved? Anyway, it was most enjoyable and many participated par-ticipated in the talent show.. Anna Dunham was called to Salt Lake because of the illness of her mother. Her mother passed away so Anna is spending this week there with her family. Her grandson JJ. is staying at Ko-dachromc Ko-dachromc with Bishop Comp's family. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Anna and her family. Bill and Bonnie Nelson moved their granddaughter, Amber Lee, from Panguitch to Sedona, Ariz, where she will be working in a large resort. Britten Twitchcll returned home from his mission to California on Wednesday. All of his family and grandparents, Desmond and Gretha Twitchcll and Connie Kleese were on hand to welcome him at the Cedar City Airport. Afterwards, all went out and had a nice dinner. I noticed the big yellow "Welcome Home Britten" sign was gone from the front of the house today so I did some "calling to find out if he was really home or if the wind, which we have endured for the past few days had maybe blown it away. I understand that he will give his report on Mother's Day. Nelda Willis has reached her 90th birthday and a party for her is and a party for her was held at the Richfield City Park. She is a patient pa-tient at the Curtis Residential Home in Glenwood. Glcnna Fletcher took her son Richard to Spring City last week, where he bought a car and drove it home. Glenna and Larry Fletcher made a trip to the ProvoOrem area to visit daughters Diane and Gail, also son-in-law Hernando Gajardo and little granddaughter Pamela. They slopped in Spanish Fork to visit Catherine Fletcher and said she was happy to see someone from home. Jameson Choate came from Panguitch and visited his grandparents, grandpar-ents, Lark and Bca Reynolds. Bea said he really helped her a lot with her yard and flowers. Nick and Jewell Jew-ell Reynolds visited his parents Wednesday evening and had dinner with them. |
