Show UG'OPOC L'Q?r,7Q We sure have enjoyed the snow that has come our way. We also appreciate those who have taken the time to clean roads, walkways, parking lots and front porches. Ethel and LaMar LeFevre went to visit Ethel's sister Margene Moore in St. George. Bonnie Miles, Nellie Mecham, Sheree Walstead, and Connie Bell attended the Quilt Show in Richfield. Rich-field. Leon Stewart and family, of Monroe, visited with his mother, Leona Stewart over the weekend. Max and Phyllis Stewart enjoyed en-joyed son Slate, who is attending Southern Utah University, for his weekend visit. Early Monday morning Max took Phyllis to Salt Lake City for some more tests. Val and Suzi Shakespear of Cedar City enjoyed an afternoon visiting with Marian and Malen Mecham. . Lowell and Margaret Mecham spent a couple of days in St. George attending temple sessions. Randall Leslie was sustained as a nursery leader in the Tropic LDS Ward. On Sunday, there was standing room only for the last meeting. There . were many out-of-town people from all the towns and counties that surround us in attendance for Shanon Pollock's mission farewell. Relatives of the missionary from out of town who attended the farewell, were Farel Lamb and daughter Sharlene and their granddaughter grand-daughter Elyse, from Orderville; Nick and Carolyn Ramsay, Kanab; Ferrell and Beverly Campbell and son Brad of Hurricane; and Dale and Suzanne Brinkerhoff and family of Cedar City. Also, Tyce and Paula Palmer and family, of Cedar City, came and spent some time with Barton and Peggy Palmer. Clare and Mary Lee Ramsay enjoyed en-joyed having their family members come for the weekend. Wade and Sheri Linn ' Ramsay came from American Fork and Dennis and Brenda Shakespear, from Kanab. Vance and Jeannene Pollock bid their last adieus to Shanon, on Wednesday, as they left him at the Missionary Training Center in Provo. Pro-vo. The boy scouts enjoyed the use of the snow. Scoutmaster Dean Mclnelly took the boys tubing. Ed and Camille Shakespear and boys Devin and Dallen of Escalante were Sunday visitors at Dixie Shakespear's. Also, joining with them were Danny and Vicki Shakespear of New Harmony. During the week, Dixie enjoyed having friends from Australia who are touring the United States spend a couple of days with her. Ted Martin and son Aaron came from Warren, Australia. Dixie joined them in a morning trip to Bryce Canyon to see the tall ponderosa pines with snow heavy-laden, needles and other snow-covered sights of the park. Overheard in the nursery as the youngster opened the box of animal crackers and spread them all over the table, "the box says you can't eat them if the seal is broken and I'm looking for the seal!" |
