Show fit- 1 A - " I ' 'l i ji U Li - Jl fi - The Panguitch High School sophomore girls won the Sophomore Tournament for the fourth year in a row, which was held in Escalante. Those playing this year were, back row, left to right, Candi Riggs, Jenna Sawyer, Misty Davis, and Jordan Leach; front row: Jonie Barton, Brittney Nay, Shauna Sawyer and Amanda Barney. Nay and Sawyer also made the All-Star team. Panguitch Girls Do It Again At Sophomore Tournament PANGUITCH A perfect four years in a row now for Panguitch High School sophomore girls who took the first place trophy in the Girls Region 15 Sophomore Basketball Bas-ketball Tournament hosted Friday and Saturday at Escalante High School. There were eight teams competing compet-ing with Panguitch High School taking 1st, Milford, 2nd, Valley, 3rd, Wayne, 4th, Escalante 5th, Piute Pi-ute 6th, Bryce Valley 7th and North Sevier 8th. Panguitch first took on Bryce Valley on Friday, then went on to the semi-finals against Wayne winning win-ning 44-41. On Saturday Panguitch Pan-guitch played in the final championship champi-onship against Milford taking them out in a close 41-38. Selected for the All Tournament Sophomore Team were Brittney Nay and Shauna Sawyer. Coaches for the winning team are Curtis Barney and Scott Christensen. |
