Show ! i Nello Pari Ipson I ...... ! ' Nello Ipson PANGUITCH, Utah Nello Pari Ipson, 89, of Panguitch, Utah, died Dec. 30, 2000, of natural causes at his son, Doyl's home in Cedar City. He was born May 25, 1911 in Panguitch to Hans Peter and Sara Elizabeth Marshall Ipson. Nello attended school in Panguitch and graduated from Garfield High School. He attended Brigham Young University and graduated in the spring of 1935 with a B.S. degree in business and accounting. He met Isabella Henrie while attending BYU and they were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, Nov. 23, 1932. Nello and Isabel had three children: Doyl, Nila Mae and Boyd. Upon graduation from BYU, Nello was offered a job with Utah Oil Refining Co. to help build a new service station in Panguitch. This was during the depression so they jumped at the opportunity and moved back to Panguitch. After the station was completed the company offered him the chance to lease the station. He accepted and wore out three different stations at the same location spanning 41 years. After retirement, he worked for the US Forest Service as a seasonal employee for several summers. Nello and his wife Isabel, spent several winters in St. George and returned to Panguitch each summer. Isabel died Jan. 20, 1991 while they were living in St. George. He later married Dean Myers Peery in the Provo LDS Temple, June 6, 1992. She died Nov. 25, 2000. Nello was a kind, loving and gentle man with a dry wit. He was a good provider and a hard worker. He loved his family and will be deeply missed. He served in several capacities in his church and community. He is survived by his children: Doyl (Kathryn) Ipson of Cedar City, Nila Mae Ipson of Dartmouth, Dart-mouth, Nova Scotia, Canada, Boyd (Amber) Ipson of Sandy; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Reta Mae Jones of Salt Lake City; Deans children are: Donna Peery of Payson, Bert (Marilyn) Peery of Hemet, Calif.; Beverly (Dean) Ash of Provo; Susan (Etimani) Lafaele of St. George; and Richard and Keith Perry who passed away earlier. He is preceded in death by his parents; two wives: Isabel and Dean; brothers, Doil and Roy; sisters, Alice and Ingra. Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at the Panguitch 1st LDS Ward chapel. Burial was in the Panguitch Pan-guitch Cemetery, under the direction direc-tion of the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary of Richfield. Merle W. Richards TROPIC Merle Wilkinson Richards, 86, of Tropic, died Dec. 28, 2000 in Loa. She was bom Nov. 2, 1914 in Hurricane, Utah to Joseph Thomas and Annie Jarvis Webb Wilkinson. She married Thomas Nyle Richards, June 8, 1939 in St. George LDS Temple. She taught school in Kosharem and Cannonville before her marriage. mar-riage. She last worked at the Payson Hospital. She played and taught the piano for many years. She and her brothers had a dance band and played in northern Arizona and in Southern Utah. Her favorite past time was oil painting. She enjoyed gardening, arranging flowers and hiking. She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served faithfully in many callings, including inclu-ding music service for over 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Nyle of 61 years; children, Thomas Reldon (Dixie) Richards of Apache Junction,- Ariz.; Dennis Lynn of Escalante and former wife Pat Richards of Evansville, Ind.; RoLaine Reynolds of Goshen; Arvel K. (Carole) Richards of Sandy; Mary (Prall) Taylor of Loa; Lori (Jim) Jones of Pleasant Grove; 21 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Viva and Audrey. She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Lynette Scott; brothers and sisters: Annie Colvin, LuZene McAllister, Emily Johnson, Arvil Wilkinson, Karl Wilkinson, Lelwin Wilkinson, Wells Wilkinson, and Relvon Wilkinson. Wil-kinson. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 2, with Bishop Scott Barton officiating. The family prayer was offered by Margo Taylor, a granddaughter and prelude and postlude music was played by Crystal Mortensen. The invocation was offered by Marcy Taylor, a granddaughter; the Tropic Ward Choir sang "Sweet Hour Of Prayer," accompanied by Crystal Mortensen and a tribute was i ... 'Sr s Merle Richards given by Keith Richards, a grandson. Nieces Laura Jean Johnson, Ada Wilcox, and Anna Marie Johnson sang "How Great Thou Art," accompanied by Crystal Mortensen and a tribute was given by RoLaine Reynolds, a daughter. The Tropic Ward Choir sang "I Need Thee Every Hour," accompanied by Crystal Mortensen and another tribute was given by Jim Jones, a son-in-law. Remarks were made by Bishop Scott Barton and the congregation sang "God Be With You Till We Meet Again," accompanied by Crystal Mortensen. The benediction was offered by Kelly Jones, a grandson. Pallbearers were grandsons Ren Young, Keith Richards, Will Richards, Ryan Richards, Randy Richards, Robert Richards, Rhett Richards, Clint Taylor, Dale Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Kelly Jones; grandsons-in-law Alwin Rawlings, Duane McCoy and Royal Wood. Burial was in the Tropic Cemetery and the dedication of the grave was offered by Arvel Richards, a son. Compassionate services were rendered by the Tropic LDS Ward Relief Society sisters.
