Show Casey McCullough Named To Government Of National Honor Society PANGUITCH - Casey McCullough, a senior chemistry major at Southern Utah University (SUU) in Cedar City, has been elected to the governing govern-ing board of Alpha Chi, the national college honor scholarship scholar-ship society. McCullough, son of Bob and Jill McCullough of Panguitch, is one of seven students stu-dents across the country elected to represent their regions on the 22-member National Council for the Society. As student representative of Region VII, McCullough attended the National Council meeting in St. Louis, Mo., last month, participating in committee commit-tee assignments as well as the formal council meetings. He was elected to his most recent position at the Region VII Convention in March on his home campus, SUU. His term will run until 2006. Dr. Lynn White, associate professor of psychology at SUU, was elected president of Region VII of Alpha Chi, at the spring regional conference. White had previously held the office of vice president for Region IV. She also serves as the faculty adviser to the SUU f ' i i 4 - v ! , M .I i 1 1 Casey McCullough Alpha Chi student chapter. Her term as president will last two years. Alpha Chi invites students from all academic fields, with membership limited to no more than the top 10 percent of juniors jun-iors and seniors from the member mem-ber institutions. More than 10,000 new members are inducted annually by the Society's 300-pIus chapters, which are located in 45 states and Puerto Rico. |
