Show Sixth District Court Actions PANGUITCH - Judge K. L. Mclff presided over Sixth Judicial District Court in Panguitch on Thursday, Feb. 20. Rocky Kelly, 23, Escalante made an initial appearance with John Hummel appointed his public defender. The original charges against Kelly included possession of a controlled substance sub-stance . (meth), a third degree felony; possession of a controlled con-trolled substance (marijuana), a class A misdemeanor and driving driv-ing with a measurable amount of controlled substance in the body, a class B misdemeanor. In a plea agreement, Kelly plead guilty to a single count of possession, pos-session, a third degree felony. The other charges were dismissed dis-missed and Adult Probation and Parole was asked to conduct a pre-sentence investigation on Kelly. The case was set for sen (See COURT on page 9A) Court From Front Page tencing on June 6. Richard Cadmus, 30, Panguitch was represented by Attorney James Slaven of St. George. He was charged with two counts, possession of a controlled con-trolled substance (meth), a third degree felony and possession of drug paraphrenalia, a class A misdemeanor. In a plea bargain, Cadmus plead guilty to a single count of possession, a third degree felony and the second charge was dismissed. No presentence pre-sentence investigation was requested and the matter was set for sentencing Mar. 27. Donald Corwin, 43, Las Vegas, Nev. made an initial appearance on two counts, automobile auto-mobile homicide, a third degree felony and possession of a controlled con-trolled substance (marijuana), a class A misdemeanor. |
