Max and Phyllis Stewart's son Chance and his wife Jessica, of Cedar City, had their first child, a baby girl, on June 30. They named her Maren Janae. This is a Danish name and both Chance and Jessica have a Maren in their family line. Leona Stewart turned 93 on July 1 1 and she celebrated with her family at home. Happy Birthday Leona! Congratulations also to Ben and Luana Riddle on 60 years of married life. Lamar and Cheri Feltner have had a busy few weeks. It started with a wonderful family reunion at Tropic Town Park. All of their children and their families and some cousins came to visit and see each other. They had a great talent show and testimony tes-timony meeting and it was a very touching time for all. Thad and Rome Feltner had their baby Kennedy Tina blessed while they were here. The baby was named after Lamar and Cheri's daughter Tina who passed away as a baby. All of Thad's brothers were able to help with the baby's blessing. Congratulations to Tari Feltner on her engagement to Ryan Cottam of Escalante. They plan to be married in October. Tristen Feltner and Michelle Ramirez were married and we wish them the very best and congratulate them. Larvin and Eva Pollock and Jerry and Carol Pollock all went to North Ogden to visit with Eva's sister La Von Bird. It was so good to see Dean Wintch in LDS meeting on Sunday. He is feeling better. We are happy to hear that. Lowell and Margaret Mecham had Scott and Jennifer with their kids from Santa Clara and Sherrie Mecham from Logan visiting over the weekend. week-end. Sherrie is going to be doing her internship in school counseling in Preston, Ida. Charlene Higuera of Orem, and her son Rusty stopped by to visit with Betty and Kent Wintch and to check up on how they are doing. They stayed overnight with the Wintches. Betty said she comes down so often it is almost like a regular thing. She loves having her children and grandchildren visit. Arthur and Vicki Syrett had to take their two grandsons, Alex and Nick Frahm, home to their mother, Karen Frahm, who was very lonely for them. They have been down here for two weeks and have been busy. Now they will be missed in Tropic. Hope you all enjoy the celebration cele-bration on the 24th of July. In this day and age we are expe-cially expe-cially grateful for our pioneer heritage and all they did to make this a great place to live. Utah, We love you! |
