Show TT10PIC UGl'JS i . By Vicki D. Syrett 679-8687 vickidiane36hotmail.com Machelle Pollock and Melissa Castegnetto accompanied accompa-nied five Second Year Laurels from the Tropic Ward to Salt Lake City to attend LDS General Conference. The girls were Shane Pollock, Megan Pollock, Megan Clarke, Jana Foster, and KayLynn Shakespear. They went up on Friday afternoon and went shopping, shop-ping, rode the AmTrax and had a very good time together. The next morning they were able to attend the 10 a.m. session of the conference where they had seats on the floor on the 33rd row. It was a wonderful experience for the girls and their leaders to be there in person and see all that took place at Conference. Machelle said she will never look at conference in the same way again. Sara Littlefield's family and friends had a big get-together for her birthday. They wanted to throw a big birthday party to celebrate Sara turning 89 years old. Many people came to wish her a very happy birthday. Agnes Littlefield, Sara's sister, was able to attend and join in the celebration. Happy Birthday Sara from all of us. Word has it that Berdell and Carma Barton are now at home from Illinois where they were on their LDS mission in Nauvoo. I know of some very happy grandkids to see their grandparents grandpar-ents home again. Welcome home Carma and Berdell. We missed you. The LDS Senior Adults held their Family Home Evening recently and had only three ladies in attendance. Dixie Shakespear, Janet Pollock and Rella Alvey decided to go visit some of the ladies in town who were unable to get out and join them. They called on Ella Bybee and Leona Stewart and all had a wonderful visit and enjoyed each other's company. Dixie said it was nice visiting with friends. Louise Ott reported the Ott Family Reunion held at Tropic Town Park awhile ago that she and of which she and her family were in charge. She had all her family there: Claire Arce (a daughter) and her children, Sammi, Chrystal, Naya and Eli all came from Heber City; Marilyn and Shawn Holled and their three children, Heather, Ryan, and Lauren came from Slateville; True and Joan Ott with daughters Franci and Ashley came from Cedar City; Joyce and Jody Edwards brought Emily, Aubri, and Alyssa from Enoch; and Richard and Julie Ott came from St. George along with their children, chil-dren, Adam, Tyler, McKenna, and Abigail. Rella Alvey had Sony and Lynn Allen from Panguitch and their children, Larry and Carol Cloward from West Valley City with their daughter. DeVar and Faye Pollock came for a little while but had to go home early, but their son Marty Ott and his wife Eileen and their children came to visit with everyone. Janet Pollock was also at the reunion and after they were through, Louise Ott and her girls and Janet went to. visit with Janet's daughter Jean Hall at her work inCannonville. They had a really real-ly nice visit and everyone went home happy. Louise said there was a total of 69 in attendance . Louise was on her . way to Panguitch and Tropic last weekend week-end when her car ran off the road and crashed into a boulder and tipped over on a tree. Louise had all the bones in her foot broken required surgery to repair the damage. She is in Valley View Medical Center and will go to the Kolob Rehab Center to recuperate. Louise was on her way to help her aunt Sara Littlefield celebrate her birthday when it happened on the Cedar Breaks road. Some tourists from California happened hap-pened along and helped Louise get help. Louise is hoping her car is not a total loss and can be repaired. She thanks Rod Syrett for his help in dealing with her car. We wish Louise a speedy recovery and hope she is soon up and running around being busy again. |
