Show Area Obituaries 1 Ruthe Wilson Ruthe Barnhurst Wilson, age 85, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004 in Panguitch. She was born Oct. 18, 1919 in Salt Lake City, to Cassie Merle Anderson and Meltiar Hatch Barnhurst. She married Calvin Wilson on June 9, 1937 in the St. George Temple. He died October 10, 2001. Ruthe was a happy, friendly person who made everyone feel welcome in her home. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in many church organizations as a teacher and in presidencies. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, writing letters to her many penpals, pen-pals, and singing as a member of a trio in her younger years. She especially loved her family and was always concerned that they were safe and happy. She was proud of her grandchildren and attended as many of their sporting sport-ing and other events as possible. Above all, she showed great love to family and friends, and will be greatly missed. Survivors include son Curtis Tachine Wilson of Salt Lake City; daughter and son-in-law Charlotte and Wilford Lane of Coppermine, Ariz.; grandchildren: grandchil-dren: Christopher Lane, MacArthur Lane, Gordon Lane, Vernon Lane, Veronica Lane, and Jeremy Lane; and sisters Beth Weideman and Ann Rives. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 in the Hatch LDS Chapel. Burial was in the Hillsdale Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary. L .. j Kemp Spencer Crae Kemp Spencer ESCALANTE, UTMESA, AZ Funeral services for Crae Kemp Spencer, 82, who died December 27, 2004 in Mesa, AZ were held on Jan. 3, 2005. He was born in Escalante, UT on June 26, 1922 to Thomas and Polly Ann Spencer. He served in the U.S. Army during World Ward II. On May 3, 1949, he married Orpha Munson of Escalante. Kemp was the owner of RKW Trucking Company in Phoenix, AZ. In addition to his wife, Kemp is survived by his children Donna Greco of Flagstaff, AZ; Douglas, Brent, Wayne and Beth of Mesa, AZ.; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Moore, formerly of Panguitch, . -who passed away Dec. 21, 2004 at Meadow View Manor in Grass Valley, Calif. ; ; Gary was born in January 15, j 1929 in Junction, Utah to Henry ; ; -; and Leatha Moore. When he ; was 12, the family moved to Panguitch where he graduated j high school in 1947. When he was 20 years old, Gary moved to j northern 'California to work in ; ; ; -! the logging industry. He eventu-ally eventu-ally went into long haul truck -'.:-' driving, which he retired from in 1992. Gary was a descendant of Mormon pioneers who made the j trek across the plains to Salt ; ; I Lake City in 1847. Every year ; ; - j he made the trip back to south- ; ; -1 ern Utah to hunt deer and visit ;;;- family. Besides hunting, he also ' enjoyed fishing, especially stream fishing for trout. For relaxation he liked watching football and reading. He was also a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army with the Combat Engineers. He will be missed by his sons Victor of Chico, Calif.; John of Artois, Calif. He also leaves behind his very loving daughter, Loretta of Grass Valley, Calif. He was pre-deceased by sons Chad and Christopher. Other survivors are sisters, Jean of ' Kanab; Peggy of Lehi and Opal of Lake Isabella, Calif. |
