Show Area Obituaries Chet Si Crofts PANGU1TCH - Chet Si Crofts, 31, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, Feb. 25, at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, with his family at his side. Chet was born on Aug. 3, 1973 in Cedar City, to Richard Ray and Marianne Henrie Crofts. He lived most of his life in Panguitch, Utah. After a drowning accident at the age of 2, Chet spent the rest of his life as one of Heavenly Father's Special Children. Chet had a beautiful smile, a contagious conta-gious laugh and everyone that knew him loved him, and was touched by him. Chet had a loving, dedicated family that loved him and loved to served him, and through this opportunity, received many blessings. He had the special priviledge of being able to attend Panguitch schools for the past 24 years. During this time he was blessed with loving teachers and many friends who cared for him. Chet dearly loved them all. Chet is survived by his parents, par-ents, Richard and Marianne Crofts of Panguitch; brothers and sisters, Chanc and Danielle Crofts of Hurricane, Curt and Emily Crofts of Washington, Cade and Michelle Crofts of Panguitch and Candace Crofts Edgar H Dunham CANNONVILLE - Edgar H Dunham, 81, of Cannonville, passed away Feb. 28, 2005 at his home in Cannonville. He was born June 1, 1923, in Kanab, to Joseph Smith and Alice Henderson Dunham. He married mar-ried Lee Ida Savage, in Las Vegas, Nev., on Mar. 9, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the St. George Temple on Mar. 8, 1968. She preceded him in death on June 27, 1976. He married Dorothy M. Miller, in Moab, on Nov. 23, 1976. Edgar worked in Bryce Canyon as a stone mason. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, looking look-ing at the wild flowers and spending time with his sheep. Edgar served in WWII as an infantryman. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Cannonville; children, Edgar Lee Dunham, Cannonville; Jean Mitchell, Mt. Pleasant; Linda (Dale) Nielson, Manti; and Martin (Joanne) Hermansen, Mt. Pleasant; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren'; sister, LaVera Moss, Englewood, Colo.; and sister-in-law, Minok Dunham, St, George. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lee Ida; parents; grandson, Eddie Clark Dunham; brothers, Van (Franka) Dunham, Viva Mecham Viva Mecham, 95, of Tropic, passed away Feb. 25, 2005 in Panguitch. She was born Nov. 14, 1909 in Tropic to Emery Jeremiah and Elizabeth Francis Hatch Mecham. She married William Barnhurst on Nov. 9, 1926 in Panguitch, they later divorced. Viva lived in Hatch for two years then moved back to Tropic. She was devoted to her family and her church and worked many years in both ward and stake positions, including a teacher in the Primary, Sunday School. Young Womens and Scouting. After many years with Scouting, she was awarded the Silver Fawn Award. During WWII, she worked in the parachute plant in Manti. ; She has worked in the school . ; lunch program, was involved ' ; with voter registration for many years. Henrie of Panguitch. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ireta Slater Henrie, Ireta Ray Crofts Anderson and grandfather Josiah Hoyt Sic Crofts. Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 28, 2005 in the Panguitch 3rd LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery. Funeral directors: Neal S. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 12 noon in the Tropic LDS Ward Chapel. He was born Nov. 25, 1926 in Henrieville to Harry Jr., and Mary Elizabeth Atherley Quilter. He married Ethel LaKay Clark June 4, 1954 in the St. George Temple. He was a school bus driver for many years in the Bryce Valley area. He was a farmer and was known in the area for his peaches and potatoes. He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving several years as Sunday School Superintendent, 10 years as ward clerk, he also served in many other capacities. He was a High Priest in the Henrieville Ward. He is survived by his wife, LaKay of Henrieville; children, Eugene "Gene" (Tenisa) Quilter of Escalante and Shauna (Andy) Mortensen of Henrieville; seven grandchildren, Cody Mortensen serving in Iraq, Kami, Curtis Mortensen; Callie, Chelsi, Carly, Dalton Quilter; brother and sister, Glen (Evelyn) Quilter of Woods Cross and Tbelma (Clive) Bybee of Tropic, preceded pre-ceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters Melvin (Clara) Quilter, James (Virginia) Quilter, Mary (Bryan) Johnson, Virginia (Thorley) Johnson; sis- ; " ' J' J f ' j i .
