Ramona Copfer, Edith Barker and LaRona Callahan were in Richfield for just a fun day of shopping. Ramona had her granddaughter, Lisa to the doctor doc-tor in Panguitch. Gary and Sandy Johnson went on a fun date to Salt Lake City, staying at the Marriott, then touring the Joseph Smith building and museum and taking in a session at the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their annual German family reunion was held in Orem with 140 descendants. descen-dants. On Sunday they went to church at the Crest View Care Center in Provo with Sandy's mom, Wanda Liffereth. Esther Johnson also went up. She is attending Southern Utah University in Cedar City. . We were saddened to hear of the death of Eugene Quilter. He had been a patient at Garfield Memorial Hospital for the past week. He and wife, LaKay Clark Quilter recently celebrated celebrat-ed their 50th anniversary. They have two children, Shauna (Andy) Mortensen and Gene (Tenisa) Quilter of Escalante as well as several grandchildren. He will be missed in our area. Wesend our love and condo- lences to LaKay and family. Ernie and Wynona Henderson have had the LDS missionaries stay with them the past few weeks, as they are working in our towns on Tuesday and Wednesday. Ernie Henderson had an appointment at the eye doctor in Cedar City on Wednesday. Lauren Huffaker also went with them for tests at Valley View Medical Center.
