Show Clyde Vem Barney RICHFIELD, Ulah Clyde Vei n Barney was born Feb. 7, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah and was delivered into the loving arms of Vcrn J. and Fonetta Barton Barney. At the age of 43, Clyde was once again delivered into his father's waiting arms on Sept. 21, 2001. He married Laurie Anderson, Nov. 18, 1978 and together they had Lacy Lynn and Colt Clyde Barney. They later divorced. He married Lisa Hatch on Feb. 13, 1993, and together they had Brooke. They later divorced. He graduated from high school in 1976. He worked as a driver for Barney Trucking. His love of the land, his horses and the farm brought him much joy. He said he found God in the mountains and so he spent much time there. Clyde w as a member of the LDS Church. Clyde is also survived by his mother, Fonetta Barney of Richfield; Rich-field; brother, Kent J. (DeeDee) Barney of Mesa, Ariz., Kathleen Upshaw of Annabella; and Colleen (Robert) Uzialko of Mt. Pleasant. POCATELLO, ID - James "Jim" V. Worthen, 55, died Friday afternoon, Sept. 14, 2001 at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City Utah. He was born Jan. 19, 1946 in Boise, Ida. He was adopted when he was 7 years old by Verd R. and Faye Smith Worthen. He attended Panguitch Schools, Pocatello High School and Idaho State University. He served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Boiler maker's Union for more than 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, activities with his children and grandchildren, helping the Boy Scouts of America and being Jimmy the Clown. He was a member of the . Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. . ' , Clyde Barney He is preceded in death by his father. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001 at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel. Burial was in the Richfield City Cemetery. James ' Jim' V. Worthen He married ReNae Gummersall Dec. 1 1, 1965 at Pocatello Ida. He is survived by his wife, RaNae, two sons, Travis (Melonie) Worthen and Jason (Liz) Worthen, four grandchildren, Travis James, Christa JoAnn, Terry Dakota and Karma Jean; his mother Faye Worthen, sister Fayann (Tim) Christensen, and his 12 natural brothers and sisters: Lauanna, Donald, Sidney, Florettc, Ralph, Gloria, Grant, Karen, Dianne, Carol, Edward and Sylvia. He was preceded in death by his father Verd R. and sister Naomi Worthen, as well as his birth parents. Funeral services were held Friday Sept. 21, 2001 at the Hen-derson-Cornelison Funeral Home with committal services with the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard in Pocatello Ida Black Bear Cub Illegally Shot and Left To Suffer CEDAR CITY - A black bear cub was shot with an arrow on Aug. 23, near Niotche Creek in the Gooseberry area on the Fish Lake National Forest, and the Division of Wildlife Resources is seeking the public's help in apprehending the person or persons responsible. Wildlife officers believe whoever who-ever did this may be from the Spanish Span-ish Fork area. The bear cub was reportedly shot in the lower back with an arrow ar-row by a shooter who was most likely in a tree stand. The animal suffered until Division of Wildlife Resources conservation officers arrived and euthanized it. "Witnesses have reported that three men were responsible for this flagrant act," says Scott Dalebout, Southern Region investigator for the Division of Wildlife Resources. "The first suspect is a white male in his late 50's," Dalebout says. "The other two were younger white males. One was thin and the other had a heavier buijd. Both had blond hair." Beyond the suspect's description, descrip-tion, Dalebout says there is little information on this case and wildlife wild-life officers are asking for the public's pub-lic's help to apprehend these individuals. indi-viduals.
