Show Cherish Hope Syrett BRYCE, Utah Our dear , sweet Cherish Hope Syrett was called back to our Heavenly Father on Aug. 31, 2001, while in her parents' arms. She was born on Aug. 9, 2001, in Panguitch, to Bryce and Cherish Tebbs Syrett of Bryce. She left behind a sister Cheyenne and four brothers: Cajun, Braxton, Taryn, and Easton. All loved her so much but knew her time here would be short due to the Trysome 18 syndrome syn-drome she had. She is a granddaughter of Roderick Rod-erick and Kathern Syrett, Bryce; and Michael and Margaret Tebbs, Panguitch. She is a great-granddaughter great-granddaughter of Jean Syrett, Bryce; Gene and MaryEtta Chynoweth, Tropic; and Kenneth and Mary Jones, West Valley City. She was preceded in death by brother, Zachary David Syrett; great-grandpa Carl Syrett; and great-grandpa great-grandpa and great-grandma, Ray and Verda Tebbs. We will miss you "Sweetness" but we know you are safe in our Heavenly Father's arms. Funeral services were held Monday, Mon-day, Sept. 3, 2001, at the Tropic LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Scott Barton officiating. The family prayer was offered by Bishop Michael Tebbs, grandpa. Prelude and postlude music was played by Crystal Mortensen. The congregation sang, "I Am A Child Of God," and the invocation was offered by Gene Chynoweth, great-grandpa. great-grandpa. Brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles all sang "A Child's Prayer," accompanied by Lesa Pollock. Tributes were give by Cherrie Tebbs and Camille Draper, aunts. The Tropic LDS Ward Young Women sang "Walk Tall You're A Daughter," accompanied by Cheri Feltner. Speakers were Roderick Syrett, grandpa, and President Klin Chynoweth. Remarks were made Cherish Hope Syrett by Bishop Scott Barton. Cheyenne Syrett, a sister, and Cajun Syrett, a grother, sang "Families Can Be Together Forever," For-ever," accompanied by Lesa Pollock. Pol-lock. The benediction was offered by Kenneth Jones, great grandpa. Pallbearers were dad Bryce Syrett, brothers Cajun Syrett, Braxton Brax-ton Syrett, Taryn Syrett, Easton; uncles Mark Tebbs, Luke Tebbs and Shiloh Syrett. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Tebbs, David Tebbs, Kenny Tebbs, Matt Tebbs, Branden Draper, T.J. Johnson, Mike Stevens, Tim Leach, Gary Syrett. Flower girls were sister Cheyenne Chey-enne Syrett, aunts Sheila, Cherrie, Kami, Chrishel, Hayley, Jentre', Camille, Chelsea, Monica, Jessica and Sheredith. Burial was in the Tropic Cemetery Ceme-tery and the dedication of the grave was offered by dad Bryce Syrett. Compassionate services were renderered by the Tropic Ward Relief Re-lief Society sisters. Shane Dennis Rasmussen KANAB, Utah On Aug. 30, 2001, our very special beloved son, grandson, brother, husband, father, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend returned peacefully to his Father in Heaven and loved ones waiting there for him. Welcome Home Shane was born Aug. 10, 1962 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Roma Maurine Veatcr and Dennis Craig Rasmussen. He married Doris Violetta CanCan, Aug. 1984 and was later divorced. He married his best friend and sweetheart Lillian Tuffly on Jan. 11, 1996. He had five children Ryan Evan Rasmussen, Rasmus-sen, Kristopher Dennis Rasmussen, Lorissa Alexandrina Rasmussen, Rishi Shane Rasmussen and Shaniah Lil Rasmussen; three stepchildren step-children Sherry Lynn' Tuffly, Orlando James Tuffly and Warren Tuffly. Shane endured many trials and tribulations in this life but always rendered true Christ-like service to whomever he came upon, putting their needs before his own. He loved his children and step-children dearly, spending quality time with each, always teaching and inspiring them. This extended to his many nieces and nephews as well. He always believed in others and held high hopes for everyone. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and his faith never wavered. He was approached by President Kimball three times and was informed of a great mission he was to serve. Shane liked fishing, hunting, camping, four wheeling and spending time always with his family. He was a talented mechanic and owneroperator of a water hauling business, SDR Water Hauling, in Apache Junction, Ariz., Shane is survived by his mother, Kanab; father and , ' i ... i "V Shane Rasmussen stepmother Vera, Salt Lake City; grandmother Marva Rasmussen, Salt Lake City; wife, Kanab, children, Mesa, Ariz., and Kanab; step-children , San Carlos, Ariz.; father in law Henry Warren Tuffly; sisters Lauri Ann Rasmussen Johnson, ' Charleston, Utah; Lorraine (Jay) Rose, Heber City, Utah; Denice (Chico) Buko-vanski, Underwood, WA, and Cherryl (Rob) Beveridge, Sandy, Utah; brothers Bob (Kae) Rasmussen, Alpine, Utah, and Mike Rasmussen, Sandy, Utah; and many neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Evan Levere Rasmussen and Clark and Dora Veater; an uncle Val Veater; and a special cousin Adam Veater and nephew Travis Shane Bastian. Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 3, 2001 at noon in the Kanab LDS Stake Center. Burial will be in the Kanab Cemetery under the direction of , Mosdell Mortuary. |
