Show fintimony Hgws By Betty Wiley 624-3215 Remember to get your yards and houses decorated for the Christmas holidays. Nearly everyone had families home for the Thanksgiving holidays holi-days . The Clarence Twitchells had all their children and families home but three. The Van Wileys had all six of their children and families here during the weekend either for dinner or for the traditional trip to the hills for trees. The Bill Wileys had their daughter daugh-ter Jane's mother, Beverly Frederick and Jan Fox and her family. Bill and Jane and her mother Beverly spent some time in St. George for doctors appointments. Afton and Carol Blood had their family home for the holidays including in-cluding Brian, Kerry and Cami plus their families. Michelle Blood, daughter of the Layne Bloods, also was there for dinner. Ashley Gleave spent the holiday with her grandmother Dellis Le-Fevre Le-Fevre in Panguitch. The LDS Relief Society Christmas Christ-mas Party was held on Wednesday with a delicious lunch served as well as a tasters' table and exchange of gifts. Several ladies told of remembering re-membering Christmas in their homes when they were little children. chil-dren. Visiting with Marion Von Kaenel at Thanksgiving dinner were guests Barbara Atkins, son Chuck and his wife April with their children; chil-dren; Lloyd Cox and son; Reba Gleave; and Rick Grant. Dick and Judy Green had Jon Green, Cyndi Myers, Judy's son Jim Bateman and his wife Susan and their daughter Anna for Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dinner. The liveliest time of the year in this little town has been Thanksgiving Thanks-giving weekend more like a homecoming! Taylor Allen, son of the Shannon Shan-non Aliens, had surgery last week and is doing fine. The Ned Burrs went north to spend the holidays with their children. chil-dren. Shannon and Julie Allen and family had Thanksgiving with the Phil Aliens. Tom and Charla Ricketts called to say that his Dad had suffered a heart attack and after tests, had surgery sur-gery the day after Thanksgiving. He now has a pacemaker and defibrillator. defibrilla-tor. He says he will be about three weeks recuperating and should then be fine. It was a busy week for Hal and Athalia Jensen who traveled to Ne-phi Ne-phi on Sunday to meet their new grandson. Then it was back to Monroe for the funeral of their aunt and cousin. After enjoying Thanksgiving Thanks-giving dinner at the Kendall Jen sens, they were visited over the weekend by all their children and most of their grandchildren. They took advantage of the great weather to gather wood, pine nuts and Christmas trees from the mountains. moun-tains. Verlene Gleave has a new great grandson. Bryan and Shauna Blake are the proud parents and Wes and Patsy Blake are the new grandparents. grandpar-ents. They live in Richfield. |
