Show Cut Your Own Christmas Tree Enjoy the traditional fun and adventure of harvesting and bringing home your very own fresh-cut Christmas tree. The School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration is selling permits to cut Christmas trees from selected locations on state trust lands. The permits range in price from $5 to $7 each depending upon the type of tree selected. "It's a great opportunity to get out with the family and friends and cut a fresh Christmas tree," says Bob Hales, range conserva-tion officer with the Trust Lands Administration. "The price is right, and it's a lot of fun." The permits are available at three different Trust Lands Administration Ad-ministration offices. Along with the permit, you get a tag for the tree, a copy of applicable rules and conditions, and directions and maps to this year's cutting loca-tions. Cutting is allowed from Nov. 28 through Dec. 24. The money from the sale of the trees all goes to Utah's schools and other trust beneficiaries. For more information, call your nearest Trust Land office: Salt Lake City, 538-5100; Richfield, Rich-field, 896-6494; and Moab, 259-3760. 259-3760. Permits are available by mail. The number of trees to be cut is limited, so call early.
