Show Another Quake Jolts Panguitch PANGUITCH - Panguitch ' residents were jolted for the second timw in 10 weeks by an earthquake : on Sunday at 10:57 p.m. which registered 3.7 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was 1 1 miles northnorthwest of Panguitch and it was felt as far away as Cedar City : ad Kanarraville. The earlier shaker on Jan. 2 occurred just after midnight and measured 4.6. It was centered at ' Beaver. Sue Nava, Seismograph Net-; Net-; work manager at the University of ; Utah said Tuesday that some 60 ! earthquakes have been recorded in the area since Jan. 1. Twelve of those registered between 3 and 4 on the Richter scale. Once they are made aware of an earthquake, Nava said they call local sheriffs' offices to see what calls have been received at those agencies agen-cies as well as coordinating information infor-mation from seismographs on the network. People most comniunly call their local sheriffs office when a quake occurs, she said. Nava said that the. Seismograph Network maintains a web page for information.
