Show Investigation Continues ESCALANTE Investigation into a complaint filed with the Garfield County Attorney in June by a former city police officer against four Escalante public officials offi-cials is still on-going said Garfield County Sheriffs Deputy Monte Luker on Friday. Luker was asked in December by Sheriff Than Cooper to conduct the investigation into the charges. He was out of the city for 10 days in December and will undergo minor surgery following the holidays. Luker said he has conducted formal for-mal interviews with Escalante City Clerk Dorothy Simpson and Justice Court Clerk Vicki Schulkoski. He said he has received a written statement state-ment from Mayor Wade Barney but still must conduct interviews with Barney and with Justice Court Judge Al Barlow.
