Show Tropic lr: By Lynn Munson 679-8627 , Spending the last two weeks j with grandparents Lowell and Mar-garet Mar-garet Mecham were Shauna's three p children. They all went to St. ! George to visit Scott and Jennifer Mecham last week and take in both , shows at Tuacahn. Lowell and Margaret will take the kids home to Payson Wednesday, and while they are up north, Lowell will attend some telephone company meetings and they will visit with Margaret's mother. (See TROPIC on page 4-A) ' - -' ' .1 " j TROPIC From page 2-A Wayne Ott and Shanon Pollock attended Freedom Academy which was held at Camp William's near Lehi, last week. They spent the entire week in Leadership Training. They both had a great time while there. Larvin and Eva Pollock's daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law Juanita and Reynold Rey-nold Price and seven children were here for a week. Daughter and son-in-law Marian and Blake Allen of Orem and their six children were also here. It was wall to wall children chil-dren sleeping in Larvin and Eva's living room! two of their , grandkids, Caleb and Hannah are still here. Niece Caryn and Tracy Thomson of Logan also stopped in for a quick visit. Lester and Vertis Clark were in Highland Park, Ida., last week to attend the missionary farewell of granddaughter Brittany Evans. Her parents are April and Rick Evans. Lester and Vertis received the tragic news that great-grandson Tyler Durante, Du-rante, age four, had drowned on Saturday. He was the grandson of Sherril and Diane Lamb of Vernal. Lewster and Vertis attended his funeral fu-neral on Friday. Our love and prayers pray-ers are with all the family. Linda Gates has returned to her home in Granada Hills, Calif. She has spent the last two months with parents Ira and Agnes Littlefield, who will surely miss her. Mitch Littlefield, son of Marion and Catherine Cath-erine Littlefield, was called out for three weeks of firefighting in Idaho. Spending the weekend at Pine Lake were Devar and Faye Pollock's Pol-lock's children. Marty and Eileen Ott, Gary Ott, Kathy Chamberlain, Chris Williams, and lots of grandkids all had a great time camping camp-ing and fishing. Faye reports it was wonderful enjoying the great outdoors and spending time with their family. Julia Sanders and Lucille Snow, daughters of Viola Marshall stopped by to visit with Dixie Shakespear. They also visited with aunt Eva Marshall in Panguitch. Dixie's daughter and five children from New Castle were here for several days to do some yardwork and chores around the house. The Lydia Pollock family reunion reun-ion was held in Cannonville last Saturday. Attending with Adrian and Glenna Pollock were children, Garnell and Peggie Pollock and Darlene and Grant LeFevre and children chil-dren all from Bountiful; Joleen and husband Holger Jensen from Salt Lake City, and Hazel and husband June Sanders. In total, there were 59 of the Pollock's families there. Shirley Haycock was also well enough to attend the Pollock reunion reun-ion too. She had all her children there. They are Richard, Kay, Kerry, Bruce and Sandra and some of their families. Shirley reports i that she has a new great-grandson named Ethan Christopher, son of Dustin and Allison Haycock. Jack and Janet Pollock attended the Pollock reunion with their children, chil-dren, Jerry, Joe, Jackie, Jeannie and William (Wid) and their families. The only ones not there were Gail and Marie Pollock who were going through the LDS temple with a cousin. All of RaVae's family missed the reunion to go through the LDS Temple with their son and brother. 1 The Escalante LDS Stake Blood Drive was held Wednesday, Aug. 1 1 with limited success. There were 12 or more who donated blood. Thanks to those who gave and those who helped in any way. I Helping with the drive were Gail I Miles, Blaine Anderson, Jim Eng- land, Ferrel Brinkerhoff, Larvin Pollock and LaMar LeFevre. I |
