Struck by a pickup driven by Panguit ch couple, he was taken to hospital by ambulance. Panguitch Seven-Year-Old Injured In Bicycle Accident PANGUITCH A cautious driver averted what could have been a much more serious accident when he slowed because he saw children at the side of the street talking just before a seven-year-old boy on a bicycle pulled out from behind a parked vehicle into his path. Rusty Blake Bridges, was knocked off his bicycle and flew 12 to 15 feet, suffering a cut on his head and a broken collar bone. He was' transported to Garfield Memorial Hospital by ambulance. .Wayne and Jill Sawyer of Panguitch were traveling east on 200 South in their 1990 Toyota Four-Runner when young Bridges, traveling north across 200 South came suddenly from behind his mother's parked vehicle. Garfield County Sheriff Than Cooper was first on the scene of the accident. Panguitch Police Chief Martin Nay reminds residents of the 25 mph speed limit on all Panguitch streets except the state highway. He also reminds drivers to be especially cautious because when school is out, youngsters are also out and about playing. |
