Paul and Keela Mangum were in Las Vegas, Nev. to meet Keela's cousin Ronald and wife Sabina Redding from Alabama, along with their son Ronnie and wife Sandi from Mississippi. Paul and Keela took Ronnie and Sandi onto Prescott, Ariz, to see that part of the country. Paul had been in Phoenix and Prescott recently. re-cently. Janet and son Wid Pollock were in Cedar City shopping. Orland and Ferriland Ruesch were in Cedar City for a doctor's check-up. Visitors over the Memorial holiday at Betty and Kent Wintch's were daughter Charlene Higuera, Brad and Heidi Baird, Krysti Olsen and son L.J. Later in the week, Kent and Betty traveled trav-eled to Provo to attend the high school graduation of their grandson grand-son Russell Higuera. Florene Sudweeks took her parents DeRell and Sarah Lou to Henderson, Nev. for the graduation gradua-tion of grandson Jeff Sudweeks. Visiting at Dixie Shakespears over Memorial Day, Eulla and Leon Parkinson, their two sons and their families. Then Dixie went on to New Castle to join her family for their annual reunion. Bart and Peggy Palmer took mother DelRae Pollock to her doctors appointment in Mt.Pleasant. DelRae reports that she is feeling a lot better; she is busy doing the things she enjoys and cleaning her house for company. com-pany. On June 5, the Lion's Club held their Zion Conference in Escalante, sponsored by the Escalante Esca-lante Lion's Club. There were 50 members in attendance including District Governor Jay Childs, and wife from Gunnison; and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Bowler from St.George. Visiting at the Stanley Ott's were very dear friends from Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, Nev., Koz and Joyce Anderson. An-derson. They also visited with LaMar and Ethel LeFevre, Jack and Janet Pollock and had fun remembering a lot of happy memories. They enjoyed the scenery and it was fun seeing them again. Royal Alvey had more surgery on his face, is doing fine now. Rick and Renon Bybee took daughter Brittany to the doctors in St. George. Cherrie and David Tebbs were in Salt Lake City on business. Layne and April LeFevre and family took the train to visit their parents John and Jenny LeFevre; who are on an LDS in Nauvoo, Illinois. Sounds like a fun trip for them. A good crowd attended the ground breaking of the new bank . Visiting at the Lyllis Francisco Fran-cisco home were her daughters Pat and husband Wade Dotson and family and Anita and husband Paul Iverson and two children from St. George. Paul and Anita brought their new little boy up to see the family. |
