Show Antimony News By Betty Wiley 624-3215 Young Marcus Gleave, son of the Roger Gleaves, had an accident acci-dent while swimming in the river with friends. His ankle was dislocated, dislo-cated, one bone broken and ligaments liga-ments and tendons torn. He will have surgery on Tuesday if the swelling is down. Barbara Gleave had foot surgery sur-gery last week in Richfield. The LDS Homemaking meeting meet-ing will be held on Wednesday, June 1 1 . They will be doing dry-pack dry-pack canning. Jessie Gleave is up north having hav-ing a vacation and spending it with his grandparents Ed and Janice Lazenby. An awards presentation was given for Larry Gleave and Shannon Shan-non Allen at the town board meeting meet-ing on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. All of the people in Antimony were invited to attend. Carol Savage has been here for two days on business and will return in about 10 days. Verlene Gleave has had as visitors: Patsy and Wes Blake and Linda and Lonnie Thomas, all of Richfield and the Trent Gleaves and Dale Gleave of Cedar Ce-dar City. Verlene Gleave and Patsy and Wes Blake drove to Cannonville to decorate their graves. Michelle Bloood is the new Camp Director for the Young Women. Chantry Brindley was advanced to the office of a Priest and was ordained Sunday afternoon after-noon by his father, Charley Brindley. Brin-dley. The Rockin "R" guest ranch had about 400 young people here for a LDS Youth Conference on Friday and Saturday. An LDS ward missionary dinner din-ner will be held on Saturday, June 14 at the Cultural Hall or at the park, depending on the weather for Riley Roberts who will be going to Africa on his mission and will be the speaker Sunday in sacrament meeting. Sally Jo W. East came on Tuesday, picking up her sister, Marcia and her mother, Betty Wiley and went to Panguitch looking at antiques at Darlene Evans store. Then they toured Circleville looking at the new homes and on to Marysvale to the Rug Factory and to tour the new Bed and Breakfast in Marysvale. They then went to the Wooden Nickel to see their store and ended up at the new Big Rock Candy Mountain for a late lunch. |
