Show I AREA OBITUARIES Tracy K. Alvey .'A:' .'V A u " ' . 1 . ; . ,".v7. i , - TraceyK Alvey Tracey K. Alvey passed away Thursday, August 27, 1998 at his mothers' home in Dallas, Ore. He was born Dec. 3, 1963 in Pan-guitch, Pan-guitch, Utah to Kenneth and Diane Di-ane Cottam Alvey. He grew up in Las Vegas, Nev. and attended school there. He moved to Oregon Ore-gon in 1987. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Lat-ter Day Saints. He is survived by his father, Kenneth (Ida) Alvey of Las Vegas, Ve-gas, and mother Diane (Steve) Marth of Dallas, Ore., grandparents grandpar-ents Royal and Rella Alvey of Tropic, Utah. Sister Christie (Tom) Waylett of Portland, Ore., and Andrea Alvey of Las Vegas and brother, Shawn, and grandparents grand-parents Victor and Euzel Cottom. Graveside services were held Friday, Sep. 4, 1998 at the Esca-lante, Esca-lante, Utah Cemetery. Latell (Bill) Hamby LAYTON - Latell (Bill) Hamby, age 83, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998. He was born Aug. 12, 1915 in Wingo, Kent., a son of Houston and Beulah Hamby. He married Vivian Twitchell of Cannonville and was later divorced. He married mar-ried Bernadine Stinebaugh Schaf-fer, Schaf-fer, Dec. 27, 1948. They were divorced in 1988. Bill came to Utah with the CCC's in 1938. He was employed em-ployed at Hill Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic from 1943 to 1975. After retirement, he worked part time at the 7-11 convenience store on Hill Field Road for five years. He has been a resident of Layton since 1946. He was a member of Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 29, Clearfield, Utah. He was a 32 Degree Mason and a Shriner. He is survived by sons, LeMoyne and Richard (Coleen) Hamby, daughters, LaVonda Hamby and Lorraine (Fred) Johnson, John-son, all of Orem; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road. Viewing will be from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be at Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton. Funeral directors: Lindquist Mortuary, Layton. i i |
